In 2024, Eddie from Double M Productions travelled halfway across the world to capture one of rodeo’s biggest stages — the Calgary Stampede. Known as The Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth, this ten-day celebration of Western culture and competition pushes both riders and filmmakers to their limits.

Working solo, Eddie filmed the raw power and precision that defines the Stampede: bull riders locked in for eight seconds of chaos, broncs launching into the sky, and the sheer atmosphere of the grandstands erupting with energy. Between the chutes, he focused on the human side of rodeo — quiet moments of grit, connection, and pride that often go unseen.

From early mornings in the arena dust to golden-hour light over the Calgary skyline, every frame captured the scale, spectacle, and spirit of the event. The result is a cinematic reflection of what rodeo means on a world stage — authentic, fearless, and larger than life.
